JANE SEYMOUR - ARTIST

Ritz-Carlton: Tysons Corner Home & Design Show 2004. May 29-30th, 2004. Jane Seymour was in attendance from 1-4pm to display and discuss her original paintings, watercolors and limited-edition giclees at the 2004 Home & Design Show (in cooperation with Margaret Smith Gallery of Bethesda, Maryland); Tysons Corner, Virginia.

It's the only show for the leaders in innovative luxury home and design products and services in the region...a chance to integrate promotions, increase visibility and make prime contacts at a premium rate. The area's most qualified industry professionals and buyers were all present, but Jane Seymour's attendance also brought a strong fan contingent, several of whom purchased one of her paintings.

The most common conversations included expressions of delight upon discovering Jane Seymour, the actress, was also an accomplished artist. Many disputed the veracity of this until it was confirmed by a member of Jane's publicity team. Once that was settled, everyone in attendance spoke with Jane about her artwork and many other endeavors. If the number of paintings that left the show in the hands of attendees was any indication, the show was a big success.

Margaret Smith Gallery in Bethesda, Maryland. Jane appeared to display and discuss her art on Sunday, September 22nd, 2002. She was in attendance at the gallery from 12-3:30pm. Titus Fine Art, Jane's representative, provided a "Lily" poster to advertise the event. It was a sample of Jane's art and available for purchase. The proceeds from each purchase went to one of Jane's charities, and Jane personally signed any that were bought. Her artwork was displayed at the gallery that weekend, with a few pieces remaining on commission.

The artwork was also on display at the sponsor tent at the 15th Annual Columbia Classic Grand Prix, held at Howard Community College on Saturday, September 21st. Jane was the celebrity grandmarshal for the main events at the Grand Prix, presenting the flowers and awards to the winners of the jumping competition.

Below, you will find samples of some of the artwork featured on display at both the gallery and the Grand Prix along with other photos from the events.
