Galerie du Soleil, formerly the Thomas Kinkade Spring Gate Galleries, 727 S. Dakota Ave., Tampa (813-249-5880). This gallery in the heart of Hyde Park not only continues to carry the beautiful works of Kinkade, but also stunning pieces by impressionists Leonard Wren, Royo and Stephen Shortridge, realist Chao Young, serigraphs, giclees and oils by Don Hatfield and actress Jane Seymour, and more.

Quick visit from Jane Seymour
Actor and artist Jane Seymour was in the Tampa Bay area for a brief visit Sept. 21-23, 2002. Creativeworks Galleries Inc., owners of Galerie du Soleil, which opened Sept. 14 during the official opening of International Plaza, brought her to the area.

On Sept. 21, Seymour was the guest of honor at a cocktail party at St. Petersburg's Renaissance Vinoy Resort which benefitted All Children's Hospital. For $75, in addition to meeting the Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning actor, guests at the cocktail party received a commemorative poster which Seymour dedicated that evening. On Sept. 22-23, there was "An Afternoon with Jane Seymour" at the gallery. On Sept. 23, fans also saw Seymour in the fountain area of Tampa's Old Hyde Park Village from noon to 4 p.m.

Actress & Artist Jane Seymour, a.k.a. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, was in Tampa Bay for a full itinerary of media spots and gallery appearances, Friday, Sept. 21-Sunday, Sept. 23, to promote her watercolor and oil paintings. Seymour's scheduled for a cocktail reception from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort. Sept. 21, and is holding a press conference from 9 to 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Galerie du Soleil at International Plaza. Galerie du Soleil then hosts An Afternoon with Jane Seymour Sept. 22 and 23, as she makes personal appearances at both of the gallery's locations. The actress lives in California with her family. See her again in February, 2004.
