CHARITIES If you are
interested in volunteering (money or time) for any of the charities that
Jane supports, please contact the individual charity directly. She is a member of the Celebrity Cabinet with the Red Cross. Already active in philanthropic endeavors here and abroad, Ms. Seymour's involvement with the Red Cross will help educate those around the globe on the importance of Red Cross services. She is in charge of encouraging children in schools across the US to donate $1 for vaccinations in lesser-developed countries around the world. $1 covers the cost of 1 child's vaccination, so each child who donates will be paying to vaccinate another child. Childhelp
USA For more
than a decade, Jane has actively supported Childhelp USA, one of the nation's
oldest and largest non-profits dedicated to the prevention and treatment
of child abuse and neglect. She has visited abused children served by
Childhelp USA, attended fund-raising events, donated limited edition prints
of her watercolors and proceeds from book signings, and appeared in the
charity's promotional videos. She also serves as Childhelp's International
Ambassador. In 1990, Jane received Childhelp USA's prestigious "Woman
of the World" humanitarian award. She is an honorary Chairperson. "City Hearts" teaches at risk children. It provides nurturing and inspires the at-risk and court-afflicted youths by providing free classes in performing and visual arts to lead the child away from delinquency and to make positive choices. In 1998, at the Korbel Art Auction, Jane sold 27 of her watercolor paintings for charity for "City Hearts" (Korbel Champagne). She had her art work on the label. She raised $18,000 for "City Hearts, Kids Say Yes to the Arts." National
