"Beyond fantasy. Beyond obsession. Beyond time itself...he will find her."
Jane Seymour Returns to Mackinac Island
Partnering with the Grand Hotel for the Annual Somewhere in Time Weekend:
Despite the popularity of the annual gatherings on Mackinac Island each Fall, reuniting and bringing together cast, crew and loyal viewers of the film, Jane Seymour had yet to return. Invitations had been extended, but one thing or another always interfered -- until 2002.
After twenty-three years, Elise McKenna returned! And she brought Richard Collier with her. For the first time since the movie filmed, these timeless lovers were united again. Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve (who immortalized Elise and Richard) conversed live -- thanks to the convenience of the telephone -- amidst the group gathered for the anniversary event.
Jane also displayed some of her favorite pieces of artwork at the hotel's gallery and signed limited edition posters featuring one of her impressionistic paintings of Monet's garden and imprinted with the Somewhere in Time weekend date and header. In addition, Jane dressed in period costume and posed beside the famous portrait that made Richard Collier fall in love with Elise. Timeless beauty showed in every feature. Finally, Jane performed her famous "Man of My Dreams" soliloquy in rich emotion as a gift to the fans, rarely stumbling, even after all these years.
Now, courtesy of INSITE and many others present, we bring you highlights from Jane's appearance along with special offers for you to have your own memento from the weekend -- even if you couldn't attend. You can also read the story on the Official INSITE web site.
